PromptDNA helps users turn an image they actively select, or a frame from a selected video, into a creative production brief. Results can include a generative prompt, visual elements, creative intent, director and production guidance, script structure, and production-ready deliverables.
Single Purpose
PromptDNA's single purpose is to help users analyze visual references they actively select and turn them into structured creative planning guidance. PromptDNA does not automatically scan webpages, continuously monitor browsing activity, or analyze page content without user action.
Data Processed
- Website content, including the image selected by the user, a frame rendered from a selected video, related poster or source data, or a cropped visible image area when direct access is blocked.
- A locally generated device identifier used for guest quota and abuse prevention.
- Generated creative briefs, visual elements, local settings, and local creative history.
- Account email, display name, provider, and authentication session data when the user signs in.
- Quota usage, check-in history, points, feature unlocks, and account administration records.
- Basic request metadata needed for security, rate limiting, diagnostics, and service operation.
When Data Is Processed
PromptDNA processes a selected image or video frame only after the user actively triggers analysis, such as by selecting PromptDNA from the browser context menu. The extension does not collect visual references in the background.
How Data Is Used
- To analyze the selected visual reference and return creative planning guidance to the user.
- To enforce guest, signed-in, and IP-based quota limits.
- To support login, check-in rewards, feature unlocks, and account administration.
- To detect misuse, debug failed requests, and operate the service reliably.
Third-Party Services
PromptDNA may use Vercel for hosting and serverless execution, Supabase for account and quota storage, and configured AI model providers for visual-reference analysis. Model provider API keys are stored on the backend and are not included in the Chrome extension frontend.
Data Sharing
PromptDNA does not sell user data and does not use user data for personalized advertising. Selected visual references and related analysis instructions are shared only with the configured AI provider as needed to perform the requested analysis.
Remote Code
PromptDNA does not load or execute remotely hosted code. All executable extension code is packaged with the Chrome extension. The service may call backend APIs to analyze user-selected visual references and return creative planning results.
User Controls
- Users may use guest mode when enabled.
- Users may sign out from the extension Options page.
- Users may uninstall the extension to remove local extension storage from Chrome.
- Users may request account deletion or data export through the support contact.
Security
PromptDNA sends requests over HTTPS. Provider API keys remain in server-side deployment environment variables. Authentication tokens are stored in Chrome extension local storage.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
PromptDNA's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
